Set the viewport shading to Texture or Material. You need a material to display textures in the viewport in cycles. To display the textures used in the material of the object regardless of the texture (or lack of texture) displayed in the UV image editor, enable GLSL in 3D view > Properties region ( N) > Shading and set the viewport shading to Texture: Note that this only works when the object's UV map has the appropriate texture displayed in the UV/image editor: (see this post for more information)

Try setting the viewport shading to Texture ( Alt Z): If you have an image texture, you can also display textures in solid shading mode by switching to "texture" in the shading mode options drop down: Not stutters, no crashing, no hard locks and very rarely do I get frame drops or stutters.Switch to Material viewport shading by clicking the icon in the top right of the 3D view: Over 40 hours of play with only one crash due to getting stuck in geometry and trying to use fast travel to get out of it. Everything installed fine, archive invalidation worked just fine and when I click "sort" to sort my load order it worked just fine.

Most notably I used it for my current mod session to set up for my current achievement hunting play through(s). I used Vortex for my last 2 or three modding sessions. Please see the Autodesk Creative Commons FAQ for more information. On top of that, due to automatic LOOT sorting, and the fact that LOOT just doesn't work right for NV, Vortex is more likely to break your load order when following a modding guide. Except where otherwise noted, work provided on Autodesk Knowledge Network is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. It required an extra step that is automatically done for you with MO2. MO2 is perfectly intuitive.Īnd clearly, as evidenced by this thread, Vortex doesn't "just work".

Want to snap back to total vanilla? One click. Want to compare the contents of two different mods? Double click. You want to change the order of texture packs easily? Drag and drop. Originally posted by Knight Sable:Right, but to those new to the modding scene, MO2 is not friendly whatsoever and Vortex just works lol.
